i have did what you said locked it with the fob then press it for a 2nd time alarm still went off after a while

am a little confused if i open the bonnet and hold the bonnet sensor down with the finger then lock the car with the fob then once its armed if i then lift my finger of the sensor i get like a load proper sounding very load alarm go off. when it goes off by its self it sounds like s truck reversing ...

just unplugged the bonnet sensor and locked the car with the fob its been about a hour or so and the load beeping started again with flashing hazards again its not the siren alarm its a louds repeating bleeping sound

ok people what mpg is your car reading. mine seen to be using a lot of fuel even on a 200 mile drive its never goes over 25mpg. if I put £40 of fuel  in it I get a about 165 miles does that sound high to you

maybe a cats on the way out then wouldnt it throw a cel light on the dash tho

UPDATE had a good look seems the click is coming from the u j joint above the steering rack am not sure if this is classes as the lower steering column

been down this road looking for bigger wheels i drove a few e53 x5s with 20 inch and 22 inch the ride was not nice and spoilt the ride and handling the x5 felt a bit like it wanted to pull left and right ended up keeping my 19 so much better there was not way i could of lived with 20 inch wheel let ...

2006 x5 there is a little clicking noise when moving the steering left and right sound like it coming from the steering column down under the dash by the pedels any one have any ideas of what this is or have came across this
