Re: What new tyres to fit?
Not specifically as they only do 3s and 5s, not the x. I also have an x6 on 20s. Currently have duelers RFT and the ride is doing my head in... Nearly swapped it for a cayenne, and have thought about a RRS, but love the 6 and don't want to p#ss anymore money against the wall.... Have thought about ...

Re: What new tyres to fit?
Thanks Slim. The main reason for the change is ride comfort. Spoke to Birds BMW to see what they'd recommend and they said continentals are the way forward.
Getting a bit fed up with the ride comfort, but love the car.....

Why didn't you try non-RFTs? I'm going to lose mine, or trade for a new RRS...

Mine feels smother on Shell than supermarket.... Probably in my he'd though!
If the price is relatively similar I'd choose shell or BP

Re: Tyre advice please
Thanks. With swiftcover so will give them a call.
Think I'm going for Dunlop quatromaxx as they seem to have the best ratings. 4 corners for just under a grand from formula 1.
Didn't like the XFR. Brutal performance but thought the cabin lacked bmw quality, very poor screen/sat nav arrangement!

Re: Would you buy your X6 again, if you had the benefit of hindsight?
Possibly not. The X was an itch I had to scratch, but the ride is far harsher than expected in real life.... Saying that, it is a great car and I can do many 000s of motorway miles and not feel jaded at all.....

Tyre advice please
Guys, Thinking about swapping my RfTs on my E71 as the ride comfort around town isn't great on 20's. Looking at Dunlop QuatroMAXX from formula1 which will set me back c.£1k. This is a well trodden path on other series, but have many done this on E70/71? And if so, is the difference worth a grand? ...

Re: BMW Finance rate for buying used car
Get the discount, sign the finance papers and then cancel the following day. It'll cost you a fee plus some interest so depends on the level of discount. I did this on the missus old Q5.....

Re: BMW Finance rate for buying used car
You can get a lot cheaper rate on the high st. Try Sainsburys..... You'll also save an arrangement fee.

Cheers guys....
Find it's a real marmite car! I love the look and style, but find the reactions of others interesting.....
Think non RFTs are the way to go. I think less than 20s wouldn't look right in the arch.
