Re: Typical X5 insurance?
Bet £640 is Admiral? That is what my quote was for a 40d. :)
Sorry haven't been on the forum for a while so hadn't seen these messages earlier. I did enquire with Admiral but they wanted over £900 if I remember correctly. I ended up with eChoice which I used for my 325Ci ...

Re: Greetings pop-pickers!
This thread went a bit off topic :) Anyway, how did the test drive/viewing go ?
Hey dude, sorry for late reply. Test drive seemed fine but was in the absolutely sheeting rain so was difficult to make out anything subtly untoward during the drive. Paintwork seems unblemished ...

Thanks for the quidco reminder! Will check it out if I do buy the car.

Re: Typical X5 insurance?
Insurance varies so much depending on the car, I had quotes of as much as £1500 for the X5, all insurance companies seem to favour certain cars and heavily load others so it's really worth phoning around.
Absolutely right. Just did some comparing online and managed to get ...

Re: Greetings pop-pickers!

Yeah X5s are dull compared to all the other motors you guys have the fortune of playing around with! Sadly the missus doesn't feel the same way. Sigh. Maybe she needs to see how the baby seat will fit in an RS6! Anyway, glad this thread has helped simulate some lively discussion :)

Re: Typical X5 insurance?

Wow. Thanks guys. I'll have another look around as I only called one place so far ( Chris Knott) and they quoted me £1145 but said I should come back to them at the end of my search as they often price match.

Typical X5 insurance?

Hi everyone

As a near 40-year old (thankfully not Virgin) male with max no claims and no colourful driving history, should I expect to have to pay at least a grand as a ballpark figure for fully comp insurance on a nearly new X5 xdrive40d M-sport?

Cheers

Ben

Re: Thoughts on this potential X5 buy?

On further investigation, I noticed a couple of odd things with this X5. 1. It's being marketed by another dealer, but this other dealer looks like an independent and isn't BMW AUC. I called them and they suggested that it was being bought by another dealer (i.e. the BMW AUC that's now selling it to ...
