Waterlogged
Have had loads of electrical issues recently with flat battery, remote locking and alarm stopping working. Had an electrics man look at it today and said base of car was soaked through. I think it must all be coming from the blocked drainage holes in the sun roof. I've had this problem before but ...

Fuel Tank Suddenly Reading Empty (After Scanner Error Code Reset)
Ongoing problems with my X5.... After replacing my gearbox for nigh on 3K i decided to tackle an issue with the fuel guage. It used to read full for a hundred miles or so then drop to about half way suddenly. Then it behaved itself for a while. More recently I ran a scan and a fuel sensor error came ...

Re: Gearbox Just Packed In
Yes I know but you would assume that a serviced vehicle would put less stress on the gearbox if that makes sense? BTW - forgot to say gearbox was stuck in 3rd or 4th prior to meeting its maker. Actually this gearbox is not going to meet its maker obviously but will be resuscitated elsewhere.

Re: Gearbox Just Packed In
Cheers Guys.... Yes 3.0 Deisel sport. it went at 123K miles. From cold it was pulling away in what felt like 2nd gear. It never made any strange noises. Over the last few days it was generally failing to engage especially after being in reverse. Eventually the "failsafe" warning came up on the dash ...

Gearbox Just Packed In
Oh yes!
BMW X5 E53 2003 3L AUTO,
She hadn't been pulling away very well for a while.
Died on me on monday.
Reconditioned box in Bristol £2200 plus VAT fitted.
Does that sound about right?

Re: Drivers Footwell Flooded!!
Blockage in driver side sunroof drain unblocked with a twig!
Loads of water then pissing from drain under driver side of car.
I wouldn't advise using a twig for obvious reasons.

Drivers Footwell Flooded!!
Yikes!
Went to get in the car this am and water poured out of the foot well.
Car is parked on a grass verge with LHS of car on the incline so water would tend to pool on R side if that makes sense.
Rained a lot of course overnight.
Is something blocked?

Re: Advice on Broken Door Handle Carrier
I've just finished replacing my carrier. I now find that the drivers side door will not lock nor unlock with the key bottons remotely. Have I forgotten to reconnect something?

Re: Advice on Broken Door Handle Carrier
Just to update the post this arrived and looks EXACTLY like the REALOEM part. It is manufactured by Febi Bilstein and has the REALOEM part number on the box. It certainly looks and feels like the REAL McCoy!

Re: Advice on Broken Door Handle Carrier
Thanks Guys,
I have ordered this as well - very fast (next day) free delivery and only £33. I will try not to set the record for the slowest door handle carrier fit on the forum!:

What do you make of this?
I'm unable to reset the oil service indicator using scanner!
Anyone else had this problem?
Cheers for any help.
