Re: X5 Stolen from outside my house

I assume your car has got comfort access ? If your Keys where left near your front door or near a window they can locate the signal emitted from your key and boost this so your car thinks the key is in or next to the car. This then enables them to get in the car and start the engine. I now have a ...

Re: Hard wire dash cam help needed please

I ran the permanent live for the Blackvue power magic straight from the battery in the boot (via a 3 amp fuse).
The switched live I took from the back of the cigarette lighter socket in the boot as its got real easy access.

Hope you get it sorted

Re: Roadrash, and chipping of rear arches

I had the same issue om my 2015 X6M, due to the 21 inch wheels throwing up stones both my rear doors needed painting after only 8000 miles. I dident make the same mistake on my new car. I bought some after market mudflaps and fitted them the day after delivery , problem solved. Seven thousand miles ...

I got a call from my dealer last time I dropped the car off....................... Due to data protection we will need to unplug your dash cam, we cant have it recording the technicians in the workshop.

Re: New dashcam being installed tomorrow
I’ve been thinking about getting one for a while, so tomorrow I’m getting a Blackvue DR750S-1CH installed. Anyone on here got the 750? It seems to get good reviews.
Hi I have the same model installed in my X6M. Works really well , I did have the 2 channel front and rear ca ...

Re: 2018 X5

Congratulations you will love it. I am on my second X6M and love it. Average around town 18 MPG on a run down south I once got an average of 26 MPG. The best advice I can give is if you are going to use it in the winter and you get snow regularly like us poor northerners invest in the BMW X5M winter ...

Re: Blackvue Dashcam Installation Query

Blackvue was a nightmare with the DAB radio signal in my 2015 X6M. Had the latest blackvue cable that linked the front camera to the rear camera still had major issues. In the end I disconnected the rear camera. My coax cable that linked the cameras ran above the roof trim so I guess that dident ...

Re: Mud flaps
I had the factory ones out on my X6 and have no regrets. So far the only 'challenge' is that I have a broken plastic rivet on a front one and BMW only provide them with the flaps, not available separately!
They are available on Ebay just search :- BMW mudflaps Rivets

Re: e70 x5m questions

My aim really was to save the rear doors, my 2015 X6M after 16000 miles both rear doors where peppered with stone chips, this car has only done 1000 miles and there were a few chips already so hopefully this will solve the problem. I am surprised BMW has not started to put a clear film on like I am ...
