Has anyone........
Has anyone on here with a black e53 stuck gold wheels on their car? I only ask as I have this thing for black bikes and cars with gold wheels. I think it looks awesome but I think it might look real ugly on the x5?!?! I can't find any pictures on Google so thought I would try here!!

Parking sensors
My parking sensors have started playing up over the last couple of days. When you put the car into reverse, the sensor beeps differently and the light flashes but it wont beep when you approach objects. Seems to work ok at the front when parking.
Any ideas what it can be or how to fix it???

Re: My shiny new wheels now fitted....
They look awesome fella!
100x better than the old wheels and like you say, they look much bigger too.
Can I ask if you have spacers on with these and if so, what size?

Theres an even cheaper set on eBay just now. Almost bought them but the wife doesn't like them. She reckons they look "tinny"...........her words, not mine!

Rossco you need the scanner for starters to lower the rear and shorter springs for the front. BUT if the scanner won't lower the car, then you need the links from lower-my-ride/eBay (but just 2 of em). Warning - faster inner tyre wear (especially on the rear) and the ride will be ...

In that case you most likely have rear air and front coil/damper suspension.

So to lower the car, I need front lowering springs and what for the rear? Will it adjust itself or will I need to programme them?

Re: Lowered Suspension
I don't have a controller in the car to adjust the height. I think these are found on the steering wheel but all I have is radio and cruise controls on mine.

Re: Lowered Suspension
Sorry but I'm still confused. Are you saying I have air on the rear but springs on the front?! I just want to lower my car!! I keep seeing springs on eBay with front only lowering?!?! How the hell do I lower the rear? Other listings have front and rear springs. Obviously I would like to lower both ...

WANTED: Custom exhaust for 3.0d e53
Nobody close to me seems to build custom exhausts anymore and as my budget is a little tight just now, I don't mind buying second hand. Can collect maybe 100 mile radius of Dundee or don't mind paying for postage!

Re: What Planned Mods Do You Have ?
Had mine for 7 months now and all Ive done is de-badge the 3.0d from sides and the X5 from the rear. Have replaced the front and rear BMW badges with black carbon ones and I have upgraded to white angel eyes instead of the orange.
Would love to get it lowered, BIGGER wheels and exhaust but funds ...
