Ipod installation in an E53 - arm rest
Hi all has anyone successfully installed an Ipod cable wired through to the inside of the arm rest box -as opposed to the glove box which seems to be the standard method? or is that just not worth the effort? If its possible to control the ipod fully from the satnav buttons, then i guess it doesn't ...

Re: E70 wheels
More google searching showed they require a 'hub centric ring' to ensure proper fitting - the E53 X5 Has a wheel centre bore of 72.5mm or so with the E70 X5 having a bore of 74.1mm - not a big difference and it would appear some people have fitted the wheels and are quite happy with them. Loads of ...

Re: Front right wheel rotor unstable
That serious? Will defintely investigate it further and asap. Is it typical for wheel bearing problems to impact the shakiness of a rotor -when the car is jacked up and you feel a slight looseness/wobbling of the wheel after it is tightened onto the rotor? I thought the noise I was hearing was down ...

Front right wheel rotor unstable
I recently changed my summer tires to snow tires and noticed after tightening the front right wheel to the rotor... there was a slight 'shakiness' to it. Meaning the wheel was solidly fixed/screwed to the rotor, but it felt like the rotor itself was the piece that was unstable. I checked on all the ...

Re: Pizza in a Traditional Chippy??
I agree with Pete and pvr. Here are my 2 pennies.. (1) knowing your enemies/competitors (2) what do your customers want/hate Your monopoly status may only last until some other competitor can out-price, out-quality or out-service you. So enjoy that while it lasts, but keep on top of those. That ...

Re: Partition Net Installation
hmmmmmmmmmm that was how i originally set it up and thought... wtf!!? odd that when the seats are upright (99% of the time) you end up with a net where half of it (bottom section with 3 hooks) is just.... welll.... dangling there with nowhere to go?? but it does make sense that if you push the back ...

Partition Net Installation
Hi all I just bought this partition net this morning for my E53 (2003) and could not understand where exactly all the hooks are meant to go. See link... http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mod ... fg=60&hl=4 Does anyone have a similar model with this partition net setup in the back? I've managed to ...

Re: Front wheel bearing noise cured.
thanks. wish there was an archive of bmw x5 sounds somewhere that users could link a fault to. in my head the problem sounds like a low clipping/clicking noise that speeds up with a faster rotation of the front wheels. i found this potential explanation... guess I just need to bring it in for a ...
