Nice additions. Never realised standard bars made so much noise.

Square bars, sticking out bars past bodywork, 60-70-80mph = wind noise and wind whistle,

Re: Roof Bars
[quote="Benstan"] Thanks for posting - it looks like a smart set-up. I had some standard Thule bars on my E60 and they made a terrible racket even at low speeds (reminds me that I could sell them, now I've got rid of the car). I thought about roof boxing the X5 when we go camping, but I think it's ...

[quote="Chompers"] On my e61 (Non Xenon, but ellipsoid main beam) you have to remove the main beam bulb cover. Inside the headlight unit next to the buld holder there is a metal lever that you move up or down, quite crude, to 'through' the beam. whether this is the same on your X3, I'm not sure. But ...

Roof Bars
Purchased a roof box and set of Whisperbars for X3. Nice fit and a Quieter ride than standard bars. http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag3/nickyboy2013/image_zpsda5b1030.jpg http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag3/nickyboy2013/image_zps4c82c698.jpg http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag3 ...

Re: Nice long drive to test the X3
[quote="Benstan"] When you get back to Blighty you'll feel like you could make the journey back there and then (because the X is so good over long journeys, not because the Daily Mail readers think the UK is going to the dogs!). Always felt we should employ Leslie Philips to stand at Dover saying ...
