Re: M Sport paint chipping: Is it a 20in wheel issue ??
Having read this thread, i thought i would try and get mine done under warranty, it is an 08 30SD with 33K miles under BMW warranty as it is a recent purchase. However BMW warranty company said they would not cover it as the car is more than 3 years old :o What is the general consensus on this, is ...

Re: Fuel consumption
I would be interested to know how many miles you get out of a tank of fuel, compared to before the remap. I am sure I read somewhere that after a remap you will see improved mpg on the car computer, but in reality it doesn't actually occur......if I remember rightly it is something to do with where ...

Re: iPod freezing
If you are using the aux USB input, I would suggest putting your music on a USB stick and using that as there will be less over processing of the music. If you use the iPod, it processes it and does what it does, then your car does it again. I used to use an iPod in my m3 but changed to USB stick ...

Re: Hello from Hampshire
to be honest my M3 (in its softest setting) has a softer ride than the x5, but seats are more comfy in x5 ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Re: Hello from Hampshire
Have had the car for a few days now, and must report that it is really nice to drive, we are very very pleased with it. The twin turbo engine seems to have a little bit of grunt so it is no slouch, currently averaging 23-24mpg, so could be worse. It is a bit bouncy at slow speeds, but i guess that ...

Re: Hello from Hampshire

Re: Tow bars
Ok so what you are saying s that if I am only going to tow a caravan of 1800kg max then I don't need to have the fan? Where is this information coming from? I would like to point westerly bmw in Barnstaple to it before they fit the fan

Re: Tow bars
They told me that it is not an additional fan that is fitted but a more effective one in place of the standard one.....you would have thought this better fan would have been fitted as standard. It really leads you down the whole, 'is the car fit for purpose' argument, but I guess that is a hiding to ...

Re: Tow bars
Well i phoned 2 BMW dealers and was quoted £18xx from one and £27xx from another. Having spent some time looking into it, i really can't see that we really need the bigger fan in this climate, even the BMW service guy i was speaking to said as much, BUT if you want to maintain your warranty and have ...

We are picking it up next week, just in time for a nice long drive up to leeds.....hopefully it will cost less in fuel than taking my E92 M3 :'( We can't wait to get it and get going ...
