I would be interested to know how many miles you get out of a tank of fuel, compared to before the remap. I am sure I read somewhere that after a remap you will see improved mpg on the car computer, but in reality it doesn't actually occur......if I remember rightly it is something to do with where ...

Sorry ignore my last suggestion, I have just read your post again and it's the iPod connector that's being used....not seen that before.  O:-)

If you are using the aux USB input, I would suggest putting your music on a USB stick and using that as there will be less over processing of the music. If you use the iPod, it processes it and does what it does, then your car does it again. I used to use an iPod in my m3 but changed to USB stick ...

to be honest my M3 (in its softest setting) has a softer ride than the x5, but seats are more comfy in x5

They told me that it is not an additional fan that is fitted but a more effective one in place of the standard one.....you would have thought this better fan would have been fitted as standard.
