Re: Expanding/enlarging the tank (LPG).
[quote="james8whippy"] I managed to squeeze a 102L donut tank which I can fill to about 87L. Saying that I don't get great mileage though... On average I get around 150-170miles to a full tank. I did see around 250miles ONCE on motorways and driving economically but then again my heavy right foot ...

Have you had it over a pit & stood underneath whilst someone rocks it?

Re: Oh dear, it's Trans.failsafe o'clock
They have offered a discount and are now doing it for £1710 + VAT which is better than the first quote. Also includes 12 months unlimited mileage warrantly. At least I know it will be done properly, the Ebay ones look a bit dodgy to me.

Re: Oh dear, it's Trans.failsafe o'clock - update
Well here's an update. I've been driving in manual mode for the last 800 miles and no errors, but took it into bristol transmissions today to have it looked at & see why the EDS3 solenoid was throwing up an error. They have dropped the sump and it's full of metal, so the gearbox needs replacement ...

Re: Another scanner thread
I've had this problem and the only thing I could attribute it to was a duff battery. If the voltage is too low to give reliable readings, the software just won't let it connect and gives the error you are seeing here. My low battery voltage was also the cause of the error that I was connecting my ...

Re: Oh dear, it's Trans.failsafe o'clock
So I rang round loads of "specialists" and most just don't have the appetite for anything more technical than swapping the box. Not what I call a specialist! Turns out that the one right on my doorstep (http://www.bristoltransmissions.co.uk) are one of the very few happy to go inside the box ...

Oh dear, it's Trans.failsafe o'clock
I've had this error a few times resulting in it stuck in 4th gear. When I clear the fault, it's good for 100 or so miles then it re-appears. The fault codes are: LCM 59[089] trans failsafe program EGS 03[003] pressure controller EDS3 30[048] torque converter clutch - too much slip IKE 8D[141] EGS ...

Re: 1.4.0scanner coding folding mirrors
To be honest, no matter how much you hate apple products, it's worth buying a cheap 2nd hand ipod and an intravee rather than messing around with CDs. Look for one with a cracked or U/S screen on Ebay for a bargain price & stick it in the boot.

Previous 4.6is owners?
For no other reason other than my own curiosity, I was wondering if anyone on here has ever previously owned mine, or knows someone who did?
