Re: M3 comp to M50D?
Ours is Ruby black with light leather interior , can’t recall the name. We’ve got HUD which I wouldn’t be without now I’ve had it on several cars. Soft close doors, cold weather pack, piano black trim TFT dashboard and a few other bits and bobs. It really is a great utility vehicle and still one of t ...

Re: M3 comp to M50D?
I came from a facelift F80 M3 to an F15 M50D. We’d had an X5 in the past and I’d always regretted letting it go. The torque on the current car is epic bags of performance and economy isn’t too bad given it’s shear size and aerodynamics. I’ve averaged 31 since I got it and have now done 20k miles. I b ...

Re: Goodbye X5 50d
I agree they're pretty epic cars, I'm 2 years and 20k miles into mine now and have been looking to change recently. The M5 with the current discount is looking attractive but I know I'd miss the driving position and the versatility of the X5. We do long commutes to Spain every summer and the X5 ...

Re: F15 19" Double Spokes 467M Tye sizes
I bought a set of identical staggered wheels for my 50d and shod them with pirelli winter tyres. Given that the instances of snow lying on the ground for extended periods is minimal I'm more than happy with that set up. These tyres work better in colder wetter conditions even in the absence of snow ...

Those look really good painted, I wish I'd done mine when I swapped my winter wheels off a couple of weeks ago.

Re: Window trim wrapped
I prefer the standard grille on the M50d, it and the door mirrors are differentiated from the other M sport models anyway. Just my opinion though

Re: Cheap carbon
When I had my F80 I ordered some Chinese copy front carbon corners, needless to say the quality was very poor, there were marks in the lacquer and the weave wasn't good. I sent them back for a refund and fitted the genuine BMW Performance items. They were expensive but managed to get a decent ...
