Getting on really well with the new motor especially now that it has been remapped stupid fast, comfortable and above all very quiet inside.

Re: Finally some pics of my new motor
Well that didn't last long as I have just agreed to px it against a focus st-2. I just couldn't stand her moaning about the size, noise, ride quality any more. The focus definitely isn't as quick or exciting but I am sure a remap will sort that out, it is however more spacious and much quieter ...

Re: Right you lot! Who's got a Vaillant Gas boiler?
I certainly would not recommend worcester unless you can be sure of running the condensate pipe inside as ours freezes and knocks the boiler out everytime we have a hard frost. We have lagged it and rerouted it twice and changed for a larger pipe and it still freezes, absolute rubbish and I wish we ...

Re: House rental advice
Well c.a.b weren't really able to offer much advice as I expected but did offer to try and get the notice extended but also said it wouldn't help her much as she wouldn't become a council priority until under 28 days left. It is difficult I know and she is my sister but this sort of thing was always ...

Re: House rental advice
Looks as if she had better start looking for new homes for all of her animals as I quite agree that nobody in their right mind would allow all of them in a house, I know I wouldn't if it was my house. The cottage and estate are in very rural Somerset and to be honest I very much doubt there was ever ...

House rental advice
I am guessing that there are a few landlords on here and could do with some advice as my sister is in a bit of a state. Her ex hobby worked on a local estate and was allowed to rent an old grooms cottage as part of his job. He was made redundant about 3 years ago but was allowed to stay in the ...

Re: hi....new to the forum
As far as I am aware facelift diesels were fitted with the 6sp box and the more powerful engine straight away whereas the 3.0i petrol model didn't get the new box until much later, not sure when they got an engine update if at all on the e53.

Re: Facelift 3.0 petrol - buying advice?
I owned my 53 plate facelift 3.0i for 13 months and loved it, very underated and was quick enough for me. Never gave me any trouble and the gearbox worked perfectly and never gave me any cause to worry. Fuel consumption was a problem and was the main reason for its sale apart from my yearning to be ...

Re: Oil Everywhere
Just a thought but being that it is under warranty would it be best not to touch it. Wouldn't want them to try and find an excuse to try and wriggle out of anything.

Re: Temperature and cabin heating
Temp gauge reading that low would definately point to the thermostat being stuck open although no hot air could point at either an air lock or the water pump not working as it is the pump that pushes the hot water through the system including the heater matrix. Definately needs looking at asap ...

Re: Phone upgrade, what have you got?
If the actual phone is just as important as the ability to pair to the X then I can highly recommend the HTC desire hd as it is a fantastic piece of kit, only let down by its poor battery.

Re: Economy Guage
Mine used to annoy the hell out of me, pretty much any amount of throttle and it would be on zero mpg lol. Same on every BMW I have owned, just can't see the point of them.

I have actually now ordered an asus 1015p which will hopefully do just fine for her web browsing needs.
