Thanks Stew, I actually prefer the look of Sanj's front valance, however I can see what it will look like from the rear.
Silver grilles for me are a No, I prefer the all black ones, however they suit your car nicely
Oh and to the poster about the 4.8 X5, no way the 3.0d is greedy enough on fuel

Re: Hello
Thanks for the insight on the 335d AW8, I think the chaps on the PH forum have taken the 335d thing a tad far now, its certainly a lot faster than any diesel estate car has any right to be, it will be a car I will revisit in time I think.

Re: X5 3.0d Sport Exclusive
Thank you Jaynana, I have indeed got digital TV as its a 2006 car, I believe that digital was the default choice when the TV option was chosen on the later cars. After browsing through the forum I think I want to retrofit the 4.6 front and rear valances after seeing Sanjs car with them fitted ...

Re: X5 3.0d Sport Exclusive
[quote="Sanj"] Welcome to the forum Martin, lovely looking example. :ok: As others have stated, no swirl flaps, remap will improve drivability - just curious why you think it's slow (apart from what you came out of). Just make sure mechanically it's sound, so that nothing is choking performance ...

No swirl flaps to remove

This is good to hear, I was always under the impression it was only early cars that didn't have them, if mine doesn't then that's saved me a job and some £ss.

Re: Hello
Hmmmm, it would be great if there are none fitted, I will need to check this further
Yes the remap is badly needing done, I will see to that in the coming months, as its rather gutless at the moment

Re: X5 3.0d Sport Exclusive
Cheers guys,
Plans are, remove swirl flaps, remap (this badly needs done) and get the parking heater working, but that seems like a minefield in its own, TV in motion would be handy too.
Intravee, I'm not too fussed about at the moment, I usually listen to the radio in the car.

X5 3.0d Sport Exclusive
Hi all, I've just joined the forum and thought I'd pop some pictures of the car up in here. 2006 3.0d Sport Exclusive, in grey. It's pretty much the exact spec and colour I was after, give or take a few options http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i111/focker-out/F1297FDF-0AC2-4FAE-92BD-824F040D2B90 ...

Hello
Hello All, I just want to introduce myself over here, I'm Martin from Aberdeen, I have recently moved from an E91 335d to a 2006 E53 X5 3.0d Sport Exclusive. So far I'm liking it, I don't drive it very often as my other half uses it daily, first impressions were its utterly gutless, hardly ...
