**Word of warning re DIY Pixel repairs**
I consider myself to be reasonably competent at diy stuff/mods with the car and previously had replaced the laser unit in the Sat Nav drive with no problems at all using the various guides out there. The pixels in my instrument cluster had gone to pot and me being a smart arse thought I would ...

Re: Found this cable just loose in the boot......what is it??
Looks like some further investigation is warranted! I'll report back once I've had time to pull some trim off and see where it goes.

Re: Car got a bit warm today.........
The Indy I went to said that the rest of my hoses are all in good shape so I should be ok!! If anyone is in the Notts area I would thoroughly recommend Series 9 by the ice rink. He got me in same day, was good value, much less than Sytners put it that way! Furthermore, the car came back absolutely ...

Re: 4.6iS query
I'm now on my second 4.6is and would thoroughly recommend one! Other than regular maintenance the only issues I have had are starter motor, hedgehog and rear suspension arms. That was on the first one. The latest one I have had for a month, I bought it just after it had an inspection 2 with new ...

Re: Car got a bit warm today.........
Thanks guys, I can't see anything wrong anywhere, plenty of pressure when I took the cap off, no signs of any leaks. It's just had inspection 2 with new rocker cover gaskets, breathers and oil separator so pretty annoyed. Hoses look in fairly good nick too. Oh well off to the Indy for a pressure ...

Car got a bit warm today.........
OK, an unhappy camper now. I went on a long run last weekend in the 4.6 iS and car was amazing. However, today, after picking up the kids from school I was sat in traffic when the "check coolant" signal came on. Temperature gauge read normal, however, just as I got home which was about 3 mins later ...

Re: Radio problems...........
Well, its not the sat nav cameras I tested that. It just does it randomly on all radio stations. Sounds like the module could be the issue then!

Re: Radio problems...........
I do have the sat nav disc with speed camera pictures on it. I'm going to have to check now when I drive it. If that does turn out to be the case, is there a solution?
The camera pictures just appeared on my latest disc.

Radio problems...........
My radio is becoming somewhat of a major irritant and having searched around, I can't seem to find anyone who has experienced a similar problem. Effectively, the radio is fine but every so often the volume almost goes to nothing for a second or so, but then goes back to normal. Playing CD's is fine ...

Newbie with sound upgrade questions
Hi all, I've just acquired my 2nd X5 after a long hiatus driving complete dross. Coincidentally I've bought exactly the same 4.6 iS model I had previously although a slightly different spec. I want to upgrade my speakers all round but am struggling to find anything that would replace those in the ...
