Re: Buying advice 2nd hand 3.0SE
Thank you everyone for your feedback. One more quick question on the suspension set-ups. Will the Adaptive M be more comfortable than the standard set-up? I wonder whether I should be looking at the M Sport instead of the SE, but with the requirement (from the better half) to have the 7 seat option ...

Re: Buying advice 2nd hand 3.0SE
Thanks Rassi, very useful, especially the information on the suspension. I expect the M adaptive (std) is rare on the SE?
I've missed out on the one with LED lighting purely due to not being able to make a decision.
Back to the drawing board!

Re: Buying advice 2nd hand 3.0SE
Thanks Rassi I am definitely looking at the BMW AUC vehicles. Agree, better to buy on condition than be a slave to mileage but that's difficult (but not impossible) given you the short list is drawn up online and vehicles might be significant distance away. Ah that's right BMW use condition based ...

Buying advice 2nd hand 3.0SE
Hi all I'm a long been a member and have always been interested in the X5 and now I think f15 is probably the way to go. I'm looking at some of the 3.0 SE's in the BMW dealer network and wanted 7 seats, low miles and generally reliable motoring for a few years. I've spied two decent options. One is ...

DSC Warning light
I get the DCS error every now and then, it's a common occurrence on an E60.
Most cases the steering angle sensor needs to be replaced which is an input to a lot of systems. For example, my indicators don't cancel when the error turns up!

Re: iDrive updates
Hi R
So basically another from late 2009 will have it. Many thanks, that really helps and stops me having to squint at dark, low res, interior photo's!

Also the Bluetooth Passcode is missing....any idea how I can get one?[/quote]
If it's anything like my (non X5) then you enter the passcode on the phone first, then on the iDrive?
Oh and congrats on the new motor!

That's poor. Even my 545i is getting 24mpg! Not around town obviously, that's closer to 15mpg

Re: Early days looking for an X5
Really interesting comments graemex5 and leosayer. It's great to have the context of why people made the decisions they did, very useful. We currently have an early E60 with runflats and the sports suspension, it doesn't get any more extreme than that! I don't think you'd last 5 minutes in it ...

Thanks leo (!)
What did you end up with in the end as I do spy a 2011 with satnav and electric seats but pretty little else. Am I correct in thinking that if it has sports seats it's more than likely to have the dynamic pack? How impt is that?

I've been driving a 545i for the past 5 years, so looking for a more "relaxed" driveĀ ::)
Oh, and fold down seats!
