I have staggered 20s on my X5, recently fitted non run flats (don't think they are star rated) and I now sometimes get traction warning light and cut in power when cornering :'(
Will be going back to run flats next week :-[

HELP! Won't start after replacing glows plugs + glow plug module
Hi all,
I should start by saying my 35d E70 was occasionally stalling before I replaced the glow plugs + module. I knew there was an issue with the glow plugs and/or module as it was throwing error codes in Carly BMW so thought I would swap them out to see if it resolved the stalling issue. I have ...

Along with other faults As mentioned above.
I’d almost certainly suggest you have a gummed up inlet manifold, only real cure is removal for cleaning or replacement... fortunately to get to the glowplugs and module this has to be removed

HELP!!! Glow Plug Module Connectors
Is there a knack to unplugging the connectors from the glow plug module? :'(
On the larger connector there seems to be release tabs but they are doing nothing and I cant see anything that would release on the smaller one?

The trouble is you can’t be sure with existing faults in place. Worth using Carly to check the state of your DPF too.

Does the DPF regent section within Carly also tell you if the DPF currently needs a regen?
I have pad the £10 for the regen facility but have not used it ...

Thanks X5Sport.
Will be getting thermostat, glow plugs and module replaced in the next couple of days but just concerned the stalling issue may still be there afterwards.

Drove with park brake applied and brake has now failed! PLEASE HELP!!
Hi all,
I recently (and very stupidly) drove the car for a few miles with hand brake applied. In my defence I had just hooked up a jet ski trailer which had been parked up all winter so presumed the painful scraping noise was bad bearings on the trailer. It wasn't until the "Parking Brake Failure ...

Problem solved!
It was an easy fix, apparently a faulty sensor. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find out the exact part but only cost me £40 inc parts and labour!!

Turbo trouble!! Wooshing sound from behind dash and no boost. Help!!!
Hi all,
The X recently lost all boost and I could do with some advice before biting the bullet and taking it in the local indy.
Not getting any smoke under acceleration and there is suction on the pipe coming from the vacuum control thingy which I'm told should mean that the turbo is working ...

Re: Dash Camera Installation - Help Needed
Camera now up and recording but still not figured out a way to get it onto the head unit screen
And yes your right Raj, forgot that was audio
Is it possible to simply tap into the TV pair coming from the Nav unit? My Tv tuner is analogue so won't work anyway?
