WANTED X5 30d/40d must be 7 seater.

Otherwise reasonably open to the spec but NO basic seats please. Standard M sport or comfort . Also no offence ...

Re: E70 quality enhancement front driveshaft ‘recall’ 2012-2014

I have just had my prop shaft replaced by BMW. Im April 2013 40d . I got a recall letter a while ago , but cant remember exactly when as i didn't keep it. Car was due a service so when the car was booked in they inspected the prop and said it didn't need changing. 2 weeks ago I got an email from the ...

Re: Is it time to sell the petrol or diesel car and go electric

You are right about the large amount of energy required to make hydrogen. That's where my argument for tidal generating power makes the most sense. Take the river Thames..........you could have a generator box spaced 10 m apart from the next one all the way along the river, both sides under the ...

Re: Is it time to sell the petrol or diesel car and go electric

I guess the correct procedure is to say sorry............. Bad day at work and its the hot topic of discussion atm. What surprises me is the amount of people that believe all this rubbish. Clearly people can't think for themselves. Needless to say as some of you rightly pointed out I clearly ...

Re: Is it time to sell the petrol or diesel car and go electric

What a load of rubbish. The Govt is clueless and just want votes / jobs for life. The Swedes did a big research on electric cars and you need to keep them for 8 years , yes 8 years compared to a diesel before they pay off/become greener. We cannot recycle fridges in this day and age and you are ...

Re: Newbie looking for advice

Hi, I would check the heater control valve........................back of the engine rhs , same side as the expansion tank. round cylinders the size of an old film canister . Each one is a solenoid for each side. Pull the connector off and see if the hot air stops on the side that it is coming out ...

Re: Extended Warranty hate my X......

" she wants a Scirocco " ................. Please do some home work on these. 1.4 engine a real weak point. My local indy has 3 of them awaiting new engines. The 1.4 cannot cope with the car and blow up very easily . Its the fashion now, all these new cars with little turbo engines to keep emissions ...

Re: Advice please - x5 wheels (seized bolts - dealer liable?)

Glad it has ended well.

Your problem was you went to Cooper. Utterly useless. ( I am being polite )

Which branch ? Not that it seems to make any difference , every branch I have tried are just as incompetent as the other ones.

You have learn't a free lesson in this case. Don't go there again .

Re: Advice please - x5 wheels (seized bolts - dealer liable?)

Er..................sounds like mechanic used air hammer and over tightened the bolts. I wouldn't use grease on the bolts ............ever. I use a tiny amount of copper ease on the bolt thread at the end of the bolt , and never get any on the shoulder of the bolt or the wheel as the bolts hold due ...
