Would anyone be interested in an XDrivers Stand at Enfield Pageant?
Hi there, I normally go to the Pageant with my Focus RS, but I don't think I will be able to this year. That gave me a thought regarding this site. Would anyone be interested in attending an XDrivers stand at the pageant? It is held on the second Bank Holiday weekend in May (Sat to Mon), and has a ...

Rusty Disc and Hub assemblies
I got my car last September, and have only been able to put 1150 miles on it so far, but both the front disc carriers, and the rear hubs are totally rusted, where they come painted in a dull grey paint. They are all in plain view through the wheels so look absolutely terrible. Went back to the ...

Recommended Scratch Repairs in or near Hertfordshire
Have any of you guys got any recommendations with respect to reputable scratch repair outfits in or near Hertfordshire. My son parked his car in a car park, and it looks like a lovely big bag buckle has travelled along the rear quarter, and halfway along the drivers door. He is trading the car in in ...

Re: Diabollically Annoying Squeak
Apparently, it was the catch that holds the seat back in place. They "adjusted" it, and it seems to be ok now, will take it on a long drive to check it out.

Diabollically Annoying Squeak
I have got a squeak from inside the car that is driving me nuts. It only happens when I am turning left, and go over a bump, or a hole. It is coming from the passenger side rear, and may be coming from one of the trim panels, just over the passengers left shoulder. I had to drive a technician around ...

Re: Alloy colour change : Paint or Powdercoat? Any recommended refurb shops?
Thanks for the replies. I have got a set of the 258 Alloys that come with the Dynamic package that I bought second hand last year. Wifey wanted me to sell them as they take up too much room, but no-one seems interested in them at the price I want, so I thought of changing the colour and putting them ...

Re: Alloy colour change : Paint or Powdercoat? Any recommended refurb shops?
Thanks.
It may well be too much black. Might see what they can do in terms of finishes to take the edge off, assuming I can find somewhere up to the job.

Alloy colour change : Paint or Powdercoat? Any recommended refurb shops?
I have got a set of alloys that I fancy turning black. I have seen some threads elsewhere that say the heating process for Powder Coating weakens the casting. Has anyone had any experience of this? Also, would appreciate any recommended places in or near Hertfordshire that you may have used and had ...

BMW Star Spoke Style 258 alloy wheels : Make me an offer.
I have a set of BMW Star Spoke Style 258 alloy wheels for sale. This style is the one supplied when the Dynamic package is specified on an X6, and I was advised that they were taken from a 61 plate vehicle. They are 19inch wheels, but the front are 9J, whilst the rear are 10J. They have not been ...

Re: Picked up the X6 4.0
Thanks, I have everything bar the polish. Was thinking about going down the Megs 105/205 route, but looking at yours, I am tempted to try the Poorboys now.
