This seems to be a common fault in all E70s, an issue that BMW seem to ignore and Ive heard a handful of cases of where BMW refuse to replace the part under warranty.
Anyway, replacing the brake actuator, in Ireland the part is around the €800. What can I expect to pay if I look in the UK?

Re: E70 Rear Bootlid Lights
Actually there was no seal on it at all. I had to add that myself. Still, all in all Im really happy. All I need now is the money for the wheel bearing kit and I'll be happy.

E70 Rear Bootlid Lights
We all know that the bootlid lights are prone to leakage and blowing and the cost of replacement can run around the £3-400 mark. http://www.somora.ie/productsearch/BMW%2FX5%2B%28E70%29%2B07%2B-%2FX5%2F3.0%2FxDrive%2B30%2Bd%2F09~2008-%2FClosed%2BOff-Road%2BVehicle%2FxDrive%2B30%2Bd%2F%3FVehicle% ...

Re: What needs doing on my E70
Why would I remap it? Benefits?
The rear airbag keeps deflating, so I see thats gonna have to be replaced.
Should I do anything else?

What needs doing on my E70
I have a 2008 E70. Currently it has just over 95k on the clock. I have just finished paying off the finance, so it is mine outright. Its such a great feeling that you no longer have to pay for a car. So I will be holding on to it for another year or so. It cuts down my outgoings, and frankly theres ...

Re: Speakers??
I too have the standard sound system in my E70.
5.25 speakers, which brand? Have you any pictures you can show us raj?
What kind of speaker can go in the center part?
Finally, I'm thinking mini sub under one of the seats just to give a bit of umpfh! Can I run this off the existing head unit?
Ta!

Re: Few bits needed
Thanks for all your help. The quest continues.
If I wanted to change the front fog lights to xenons, is it a big job and also where do I get said lights?
Any recommendations for steering wheel refurbishment?

Re: Few bits needed
There was something else that I was looking for. I wanted the updated maps for the E70, ordered from some site, got a DVD and nothing worked! Ok, so I don't want to pay for the legit BMW disc, so any recommendations for buying the sat nav discs?

Long time lurker, so I thought it was about time I joined this site. I have a 2008 X5, and there was once a time that I would change my car every couple of years but those days have come and gone! ;) I will be holding on to my E70 for some time to come, so I know have to replace a few bits! I saw on ...
