Water hose part number help !
Hi folks, I have had a troll round various parts sites and have had conflicting results as to the part number for the hose that comes from the water pump/thermostat to the ATF cooler (it also has a electrical plug near the ATF end).
Ideas for suppliers also appreciated.

Thermostat push connector help.
http://i65.tinypic.com/2igyuz8.jpg Hi folks, just fitting new thermostat and noticed that this was on the old one. Now when I push the connector on it's leaking. Has this broken off the inside of the hose connector? I have tried putting this ring on first and then the connector but still leaking ...

Re: Trans Failsafe, any clues.
Cheers for the time and effort in your replies; X5Sport, the tranny fluid is BMW Group Automatik-Getrebeol ATF 4, as advised by Cotswold BMW. It was £25.00 per litre and I took it that not skimping on a recommended fluid was the way to go!!! if all this could be caused by the wrong fluid I'll be ...

Trans Failsafe, any clues.
Ok folks, bear with me. I Changed the tranny fluid (ATF 4) and filter after a few Trans failsafe messages and usual limp home mode. ATF was very dark and smelly. A few months down the line of noticeable better gear changes and the occasional thump on changedown the failsafe message intermittently ...

Re: Self Leveling Suspension InActive - Error code: Compressor Relay
I posted my fix ages ago and still changed to rear springs. My only other bit of advice would be to check the control mod that sits down in the battery compartment. I always had to lift up the lpg tank to unhook the battery and noticed that the plastic moulded box that it sits in was wet in the ...

Re: 4.1 scanner, pluged in & worked anyone?
Cheers for the input, it does seem that the first port of call will be an install whilst plugged into the car & laptop, the next will be a cheap XP ebay special laptop just in case its a problem with the VM and the third move will make a great YouTube vid of me with laptop, scanner plug, install CD ...

4.1 scanner, pluged in & worked anyone?
Hi, as in my earlier post I have done quite a few jobs on the X and could do with a bit of re-programming. The scanner is not recognising the plug unit and I'm going to have a look at the various software upgrades and fixes on various posts. Question is, has anyone with a 2001 E53 4.4 sport ...

Eventful weekend, managed to change the engine oil/filter, ATF/filter, fuel filter, air suspenssion to springs and a new set of rear parking sensors/control unit. Only thing i can't get to work is my new 4.1 scanner ! (but there may be a thread or two about that). Also managed to catch the local bit ...

Re: E53 PDC's, I know I know
Hi, I know there could be a few different causes, but an easy check is water in the plastic battery box. My X5 had PDC problems and in an unrelated search I found that the PDC unit and self levelling air control units were about a third underwater. I'm looking at replacing the suspension for springs ...

Re: Any help with shopping list ?
I'm looking at next month to start the purchases so if you still have them it's a yes, as long as I get full customer support & 24 hour hotline for help with the fitting.
