Re: Rear noise help....
Has new discs and pads all round. Bearings have been checked only by wobbling the wheels off the ground. Is there a better check, as my mind is swaying towards these but I dont want to replace them without being sure. It's cost me nearly £1600 in 3 months!

Re: Rear noise help....
Thanks guys.
The Indy said he had checked the drive train and the diff and it all looks / sounds / feels ok. He said the flex disc is good too.
Is it most noticeable around 40mph with my foot down, or when cornering at speed. Feels like the rear wheels are loose but they are not.

Rear noise help...
Hi Guys I'm at a loose end here. My 2004 3.0D is still making an intermittent rumble / groan / vibration from the rear. I occasionally tow a caravan and this makes it slightly worse, but it is there at all different times. More often than not around 40 mph If i floor it, the rumble is loud If I ...

Re: 3.0D changing Catalytic Converter
In fact, just crawled back under the car having looked again on RealOEM. It looks like i'd need to cut the OEM system, install the new bit and use some clamps to join old and new with a bit of paste? I'd consider myself quite handy having worked on LR Defenders for some time, but worried about the ...

3.0D changing Catalytic Converter
Morning I've had a terrible rattle under the drivers seat for some time, and a strong fume issue from the rear of the car for some time. ATS have looked and said the cat is totally knackered and needs replacement. I've crawled under and just with a good shake it does indeed rattle like mad. My ...

Re: Replacing handbrake lever
Done - managed to file the 'teeth' back in by removing the drivers seat and popping the side of the centre console off. Perfect! ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)

Re: Replacing handbrake lever
Did you remove the seat, centre console etc to get it out? Might it be possible in situ with the sides of the centre console removed?

Re: Replacing handbrake lever
Using the part number on OEM a new lever is nearly £200 from BMW
If anyone can offer some advice, on the cables in particular, that'd be grand![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)
