Yep I knew they had discontinued the STs I am amazed they do not manufacture the T1 sport or T1 Sport XL in 315/35/20 though...
Obviously they are not bothered with this niche area

Re: Swapping Run Flat for non RF is nor recommended and not ok with insurance ?
Hi Sanj, My E53 is a later one (Sept 2006) so yep it has the michelin RFT jobbies. Happy to take the toyo T1 sport but cannot find them in 315/35/R20 so far. I will keep the search though. I had toyo proxes before on other cars and yep I agree they are a tremendous value for the money. [quote="Sanj ...

Re: Swapping Run Flat for non RF is nor recommended and not ok with insurance ?
They (camskill) gave me the information because I asked to talk to their "tire specialist" the issue I had is that they offer no solution for Staggered size like mine (315 read 275 front) for instance the Toyos were different thread types which would not do. The toyo proxes ST either 1 or 2 are no ...

Swapping Run Flat for non RF is nor recommended and not ok with insurance ?
I just phoned Camskill to see if they could help me in my search for Non Runflat for my X5. The tire departement told me that they would not do the swap unless they had a letter from my insurance and it would be unlikely I would get such a letter. The claim is that it affect the security of the ...

Re: Where to source Toyo Proxes ST ?
Thanks. I phoned wheelbase and it looks like ST's are discontinued and the claim is that the T1 Sport is their replacement.
Seems like Toyos are more difficult to find. Just been advised against it (will start a new thread on this subject actually)

Where to source Toyo Proxes ST ?

Re: Bluetooth: Not getting to "Bluetooth Pairing" SORTED!!!!
Sorted it!!!! That is really strange even for BMW who sometimes has a way to "entertain" you with their computing concepts. Anyhow here is what I did: ordered BMW SCAN 1.4.0 and installed on my laptop (did not work and had to download the software from AP SOFT) . Then run diags on telephone no ...

Re: Bluetooth: Not getting to "Bluetooth Pairing"
Cheers DirtyMonkey ;) ; I got the right button. I even dismantled the cradle and activated the switch internally just in case the button did not make good contact. Only I did not do so far is take a part the storage compartment and see what happens there since the cable disappears somewhere down ...

Re: Bluetooth: Not getting to "Bluetooth Pairing"
Just did and still nothing. I will wait until I get the Scanner and hopefully find out what is wrong. I am not too worried to be honest. I just want to get it to work but probably won't use it often. I still think that it is way too much of a distraction when you are handling 2 tonnes of German ...

Re: Rear hatch soft close not closing?
Ahh right. Thanks for that. At least it was an easy fix. I suppose it does the trick then as it does close without me having to slam it shut.

Re: Scanner 1.4.0 What Now?
My scanner is on its way and I have a quick question: Do I need a laptop or can a desktop do just as well?
Not clear to me as there seem to be a disk for the program and a tool that plugs in the OBD?
I have a laptop but it is running linux at the moment and I am pretty sure that would not work.

Rear hatch soft close not closing?
Hi, I am having real fun with my E53 finding out all these options that I have but unfortunately do not work. The manual tells me about the Rear hatch or door soft close, in principle I only have to push it down lightly and it will close itself. My wife and I are able bodied so we do not really need ...

Re: Bluetooth: Not getting to "Bluetooth Pairing"
OK I have checked the connection under the craddle and it is fine. In actual fact looks like on later E53's the cable has been secured to ensure it does not work itself loose. The module is there are connections looks good to me All fuses good. Now waiting for the Scanner 1.4.0. to see what else ...
