hi,did you get to the bottom of the problem? ive had a very similar problem with my 58 plate x5d 3.0twin turbo. i had the messages up saying engine limited to half power,then to total power loss.its been in and out of bmw now for 3 weeks.they have recently put a brand new fuel pump on it to no avail ...
