I do about 8,000 miles a year but as I work from home most of my day to day driving is the 2 miles round trip school run twice a day and the 8 mile round trip to the supermarket and I average about 21mpg I suppose that a Lexus RX 400h would have been a more sensible choice in terms of fuel economy ...

I've had my X6 35d for six months and have averaged 22.7mpg over 4,200 miles. Around town I get 21-22mpg and on motorway runs averaging 80mph I will get 25-26mpg My previous car was a BMW 645 and I averaged 20.7mpg over 20,000 miles so not much of an improvement if at all when taking the extra cost ...
