how to replace window washer jets

Has anyone replaced the washer jet system on an E70 X5. BMW want £80 for the part. If I go down that route I'd rather fit it myself but looking at the jets I don't know how they are fitted. Problem is I have very little water coming though, had the same on my E87 and just replaced the washer jets ...

Re: door seals and door handles sticking

I use swissvax seal feed. Not cheap but works very well. A little goes a long way and it last for over a year. Need to re-apply last year (2 years since last application).

Re: Run flat carnage

I contacted Bridgestone regarding the repair of run flats.
They are happy for it to be done as long as the tyre is in good condition. This seems to be the hard part and why so many places wrongly tell you that it can't be done.

Re: Rubber Boot Liners/Tray

I bought mine from BMW. Very thin and flexible plastic.
I think its great. Easy to wipe clean and not much ridges to the plastic.

I had an aftermarket rubber one before and apart from the slightly poor fit it looked crap and cheap.

Re: 20" wheels replaced under warranty

I was in BMW Aberdeen yesterday getting new alloys ordered and was chatting to the guy about them. He told me that BMW have just changed supplier and the new wheels “should” now be sorted. Time will tell but I should get a new supplier set. Shame it takes 8 weeks to get them!! Hope what he is saying ...

Would you be able to advise on a cost to deliver these to Scotland. Fully insured of course.

Thanks

Hi,
might be interested in the wheels.
What style of alloys are they? I can't seem to see this.

Did you have spacers etc on your car? I have a 2013 30d M sport.

Re: Yokohama 20" Winter tyres??

Thoughts on what the X5 would be like with just rear snow tyres?
I reverse my car into the drive (it's just easier and safer when leaving the house again) and the car slips in slush/snow.

Re: F15

I had a sit in a SE spec at the weekend in my local dealer. The car looks better in the flesh. Interiour is very nice but I wouldn't be rushing out to buy one. The change from E to F isn't that great. That should help re-sale value of the E70's.

Re: 20" wheels replaced under warranty

I know this is a well known issue but I have a question. My X5 is a March 2013 car. It's never seen road salt but about a month ago I noticed corrosion on one wheel. Now this on a £50k plus car is a disgrace. The wheels will be replaced (I'm sure/I hope) but this will happen every year righ up until ...

Boot tools

Got my car delivered and looked in at the tools. Seems the break glass tool is missing. Contacted the dealer who then looked inside another X5 and X6 and the same tool was missing. So, does your car have them? Should it be there?

New Car GAP Insurance

Hi, well I (should) finally bought a X5. Not the 2 or 3 year old one but a brand new one (first ever new car). Looking forward to getting it on Friday. 30d M Sport. Anyway, I'm interested in GAP insurance and I have had a look in the search are for info. I got some but not much. So, what I read was ...

Yeah, it seems like it 61 plate cars that get the full update. Too much £££ for me.
