Re: Fuel price

I was at Scotch Corner last week.. 145.00  per litre.    119.9p in my home town.  I too put in 10 quid to get me home, then filled up with 70 quids worth .  Every penny counts!! it's more principle than anything!

Mercedes C Class W205

I know kjb1 had one of these, which I slagged off as not liking in a post a couple of years ago!!!

Anyway, I;ve changed my mind!!  What's the C220 W205 like as daily? interior? road noise?

335d is about to go back and looking at a C Class or Golf R / maybe GTD.

Thanks in advance for info on this

Re: 335d XD Touring to Golf GTD DSG
The GTD is full of plastic, has poor drivability because of the torque, are the second most often stolen golf after the Golf R, dreadful dull steering coupled with very fragile gearboxes oh and did I mention loads of plastic. Don’t bet on VW servicing being cheaper than BMW’s ei ...

With all the crap going on with VW at the moment, you’re braver than I am if you’re buying a diesel VW! :))

Business Contract Hire, I wouldn't put my own cash into a diesel, at present.

Re: 335d XD Touring to Golf GTD DSG
If you can, drive the DSG version then commit. There are two versions of the box, dry clutch and wet clutch. The dry clutch version is still proving unreliable but the wet is fine. If it is the 7-speed wet it’s much better. :) Hopefully VW have put better software in their version b ...

Re: 335d XD Touring to Golf GTD DSG
Good luck. We’ve had a couple of Golf GTD’s and a 335d, and if you’re thinking of going from the BMW, you’re in for a bit of a let down.
I drove the manual GTD 2017 model & it seemed ok. Not so keen on the clunky manual box though, hence looking at the GTD. They do seem ex ...

Re: 335d XD Touring to Golf GTD DSG
Hi I have looked at the spec of them for a 2015 GTD model and pretty rapid about 170bhp and a lot of torque. They do hold their residual values well even in the current market. I would try and go for one with leather and heated seats I think they call it the winter pack, you could ...

335d XD Touring to Golf GTD DSG

Tine to change & think I'm going to go from the 335d XD Touring  to a  Golf GTD DSG.    Golf won't be as quick but I can't think of a single time I've used the 335 potential.  For the first time there's nothing that I actually want.

Anyone moved from to a GTD Golf?

Re: My New Car.

Fantastic MG that!  my Dad had a few of these MGBGT's and a couple of Midgets in the 70's.  Here's the first one he had; I think this pic would have been 1967.

F31 330d xDrive Touring

Hi  all ...... Has anyone got one of these 330d X Drives? & if so, what's it like? handling etc?    I miss the 40d power of my old E70 & I'm stuck in this 2.0 TDI Audi A4 Avant which is FLAT & dull.

Re: Think Im going to defect:
I can honestly say, with 70mpg and £20 a year road tax it really doesnt bother me how noisy the engine is, I found it gruff on start up and once settled down and making progress was absolutely fine, would t say noisy atall, just coarse. The X5 3.0 d is always going to sound better as ...
Well after my handbrake incident, I found myself in very unfamiliar territory!! a Mercedes Dealership haha. Ive never gone to the dark side ever, but I think I am going to go for a C220 class brand new in AMG line Premium Plus spec. Deal is fantastic, car looks superb in and out ...

Mercedes Benz - A Bad Experience

I bought an E Class early December 2014. Firstly, the dealership was terrible, the worst service I have EVER encountered. The whole experience from pre purchase through the after sales service/warranty... shocking! The dealership offered a free service due to errors but that will now not be used ...
