Don't forget when you buy them you also need to replace the roof rail trim. These also need painting. (they come in matt black primer)
Had them retrofitted to mine 2 years ago. Had the trims painted last year!

Re: Should I have specified surround view?
I use it all the time on the X6. Handy to see where white lines are.

Re: Mud flap fitting
I retro fitted them onto my X6, assume they are pretty much the same fitting process. Iirc the plastic rivets were slightly longer but as I broke a few trying to work out how they worked and then making a rivet nose piece to fit my local deal gave me a handful of spares. I would advice against ...

Re: 2014 model X6-but no bluetooth
When I bought my 2012 Toaureg it had no Bluetooth, although everything was there on the wheels for it including the microphone. It transpired that the buetooth was fully fitted but not switched on, a friendly mechanic at VW plugged his box in and opened up the service. An hour later I had factory ...

Re: Running boards pitted- warranty claim ?
I tried under warranty and was rejected. When I replaced the car I went for one with standards sides as I couldn't accept the tarnishing.
If you are buying then either get them replaced as part of the deal, knowing they will pit again in less than a year, or go for black painted sides.

Re: Send to car on Google mapps
I'm using a laptop with windows. Apparently (I spoke to BMW this morning) it is a change that Google have made and the send to car function has gone for now. It does seem that the whole communications aspect of BMW's is seriously flawed. I appreciate that this was a google change but surely they had ...

Re: New 2 bmw
Add the heated steering wheel. It really is a pleasant option and one I wouldn't want to be without.

Send to car on Google mapps
Has this option now finished?, one of the redeeming features of both Google and BMW was the ability to send the postcode straight to the car.

Same on both of mine.
Seems BMW only care about telling quality, not worried about if it actually is or not.

Re: 40d DMS Remap
I had mine done by DMS. Very good and convenient as they came to my house. Only issue was when I swapped to an identical car I called and asked for a price to remove from one car and put on the new (as Superchips do) , they never came back to me. Annoying as it is an expensive remap and to fall ...

I agree with the Google to Car route. I use it all the time.
Also use BMW connect and let them send the address to the car.
