I can relase the tailgate of the X5 from inside the car and the key fob also .The boot does not open though it only unlocks ,is this what is supposed to happen ,or does the boot lid open fully.Just a query ,as my car is now 7 years old and thought the gas struts were maybe to tired to open the boot ...

Hi , I have a webasto heater fitted to the X5 ,i do not have a remote with it .When the car is swiched of the heater seems to cut in ,i can hear the pump running and there is the exhaust fumes .
