Re: Adaptive cruise

Try looking for Driving Assistant Plus, as its part of that package. Great option, the 2nd thing I spec, after comfort seats.

Re: Winter Wheels

1. Pretty sure it will throw up an error. You can buy tpms sensors separately if need be. 2. For snow, smaller rims the better seems to be the rule of thumb, so 18" if you can live with the aesthetics. Generally cheaper too 3. You say 'just' winter tyres, but the winter tyres are much superior in ...

iDrive legal disclaimer

Hi

Could someone please confirm if the UK F15 X5 has the idrive legal disclaimer upon startup? The one that prompts for a Confirm click on idrive each time you start the car?

Thanks

Re: Eco Pro Mode

Pretty sure it doesn't make any difference to the xdrive system, and mainly impacts throttle response, air-con power, heating, etc. Xdrive mainly applies drive to the rear wheels except when it detects that 4 wheel drive is required. "The intelligent four wheel drive system BMW xDrive adapts ...

Re: New X5 and BMW Connect

Hmmm. As I recall Read SVT doesn't work for the F15, you have to use Read(ECU). It's been a while since I did EBT, but that's certainly the case for FDL coding.

Re: New X5 and BMW Connect

Yeah its not that hard, as long as you follow the steps exactly. I've coded quite a few additional settings: - Enhanced BT - Reduced side mirror closing delay for comfort access - Auto stop/start remembers last setting - Remember heated steering wheel setting - allow windows rollup with doors open ...

Re: New X5 and BMW Connect

[quote="Dr C"] Eagles, I am extremely concerned that I would royally f**k my car up if I started fiddling with the ECU - don't suppose you're near Edinburgh/Central Scotland? If so would you be interested in coding enhanced BT it for me in return for beer tokens? Alternatively, does anyone know of ...

Re: New X5 and BMW Connect

Isn't text transferred via Bluetooth, and nothing to do with connected drive? I have an iPhone 6+ and text transfer and can be read fine. Email doesn't work via Bluetooth, but I have setup IMAP in BMW online and that works, albeit its pull not push. Connected drive gives you news, online search for ...

Re: Adblu millage top ups

Sounds like it, not sure where they get that it should only need refilling during a service visit!

How are you refilling it? Service station pump, mail order bottle or main dealer?
