Re: Beast 2.0 Modding
We were allowed at the last one I went to. Hard to believe it was 8 years ago already! Held near Uxbridge. I wonder how many are still owners and/or members? This was at Jason’s place - BW Chiptune. His crew did a mean BBQ for all of us :D I think I was there for that one, can't see my old Estoril b ...

Re: X5M exhaust upgrade options please
Hello from another X5M owner.
I don't have one but have heard good news about the akrapovic exhausts. Not cheap though!

Re: About to buy an X5M (F85)
Hi Max, it was mostly the salesman :-) To give him the benefit of the doubt, he didn't know the answers to a few questions I had so made stuff up but then outright lied about the price (he said the £49k price was wrong and it should be £1k more. Amazingly someone on another forum sent me an email s ...

Re: About to buy an X5M (F85)
Thanks Max, it's done 28k. A bit higher than I would have liked for a 3 year old car but I'll be adding well below avergae per year. Slightly more annoyingly, even though it was first registered in March 2017, its build date was June 2016 which makes it a MY 2016 by 1 month!. According to BMW ...

About to buy an X5M (F85)
Having come throught the ranks of a 3.0D E53 and currently in an E70 40D I need to scratch the V8 itch :D I've put down a deposit on 2017 X5M on the proviso that I haven't driven it yet! It's pretty well specc'd: B&o advanced audio system Lane change warning system Park assist Reversing assist ...

Re: A star tyres , myth or fact
Actually another thing to add. I did get a puncture in Spain, I was able to go to a normal garage who fixed it for £10 and it’s been fine ever since. If I had run flats I don’t think they can be repaired and I’d have to faff around trying to get a new tyre in Spain at a cost of about £250, and would ...

Re: Nothing but issues : xdrive /abs Light, transferbox ...., ideas please
The diamaris are without a doubt ‘*’ rated. Marked as such on the tyres themselves. Which one of the proxes? and which other tyres do you guys recommend? From my old thread I found here: https://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=521&hilit=toyo&start=15 They were Proxes S/T, but I'm not sure t ...

Re: Nothing but issues : xdrive /abs Light, transferbox ...., ideas please
I'm pretty sure * rated tyres aren't mandetory on E53s. I certainly didn't have any on my car when I had it. I bought a set of Toyo Proxes and they were brilliant (and pretty good value).
