[quote="X5-D-Sport Salisbury"] Well done Chelsea Paul, glad it save you a shed load of money. Dread to think how much the Valve block comes from the OEM, let alone the diagnostic plug-in costs..... Bl@@dy expensive me thinks lol... The Suspension Silicone is available in a syringe with an applicator ...

Re: Engine trans fail error
Its not unknown for the ABS module to loose comms but you will also have warning lights associated, brake, ASC etc.It wont cause a no start situation. To me it sounds like a power failure to one or more of the ECUs. The Trans failsafe is always the one to pop up if there is a low voltage. Check ...

Re: My X5 has let me down YET again - different issue (monitoring rail pressure)
Sounds like the high pressure pump has or is failing. You need live data to see what pressure is in the rail whilst cranking. Im not too up on the 3.0d but would expect to see 300 bar (30KPA) or similar.

The fan should self test on start up. It should spool upto half speed for a few seconds and then stop. They do throw a code if this doesn't happen. Get someone to start her up while you watch the fan, if it does a dance back and forward chances are the motor is dying. also it should switch in at 100 ...

Try BBA Reman, they will test and if necessary repair for the same price as a replacement. All work guaranteed.
