Re: Ran out of fuel with half a tank remaining!!

It's been a while since I did it, you may have to remove a rubber grommet first.

These might help:

Re: Ran out of fuel with half a tank remaining!!

Yeah it's pretty easy, just get a flathead screwdriver on those little notches on the metal surround circle and gently tap it to free it, you can then unscrew it by hand.

Re: Ran out of fuel with half a tank remaining!!

It was my thread you just linked to above, this was a PITA of an issue and drove me mad! Same issue as you, after half a tank i had no idea how much fuel I had left. I thought it was strange to buy a car from a used dealer and it to half half a tank of fuel in it! Although about 5 minutes from my ...

Re: Leather repair

In my experience it's usually cheaper just to buy another seat!

I put a small rip in my 3 series doorcard leather, £70 to repair (IIRC) £30 for a second hand but mint doorcard.

Help Needed - Locking Wheelnut Key

Hi guys,

I've not been on here in ages but need a bit of advice.

I was cleaning the X5 yesterday and let my 2 year old play inside the car while I did the outside. He was having the time of his life pretending to drive and climbing around, and at one point I saw him holding my locking wheelnut key ...

Re: **Word of warning re DIY Pixel repairs**

I second that, I posted a thread last year on here just saying "FAO anyone thinking of attempting a DIY pixel repair.... DON'T!!! "

Admittedly I didn't even get as far as you did. The eBay pics make it look an easy job (and I repair iPhones/Laptops regularly with no problems) but they don't tell ...

Re: New car, Lots of electrical gremlins :(

It sounds a lot like water ingress issues. I could be totally wrong of course, but my brother bought a 2005 Audi A3 Quattro a few years back. He had nothing but trouble with the electrics from the day he had it. Long story short it stemmed from the dealer he bought it from using a jet-wash to clean ...

Come on then - Let's try to sort a Meet out

Sounds good, how about RAF Cosford Museum? I've been to a few meets there, I took my lad there yesterday and there was a vintage car meet going on!

Re: Forum upgrade

I really can't get on with this new forum :(

It seems to take a lot more effort to use than the previous one and it's a little bit 'all over the place'.

I appreciate how much work has probably gone into it, and I wish I could say I preferred the upgrade, but for me the old forum was perfect and ...

That's great many thanks for that Graeme!
